Los Angeles is overflowing with coffee shops — from ultra-themed cafés, celebrity hangouts, bookish brews and hidden gems on every corner. Honestly, there’s way too much goodness for just one post. So where do we start? With women, of course!
I want For the Aesthetic to be more than just a guide to beautiful places, I want it to shine a light on the small businesses and inspiring entrepreneurs that make LA so special. As someone who makes it a mission to visit at least one new coffee shop a week, I’ve stumbled upon some truly amazing spots owned and operated by incredible women.
So whether you’re looking for a solo work spot, a new go-to for weekend catch-ups, or the perfect backdrop for a cute coffee date, this list is for you.
Grab your friends and check out my personalized list of the Best Women-Owned Coffee Shops in LA (and surrounding areas)— your next favorite might just be on it.
Couplet Coffee
Confidential Coffee
Confidential Coffee might just be Long Beach’s best-kept (not-so) secret. The coffee is that good! We’re talking bold brews with a fun twist, classic Mexican flavors reimagined in your cup. Mural-covered walls, games to keep you hanging out, and they’re dog-friendly!

Fan Girl Cafe
Fan Girl Cafe is what happens when your coffee dreams get a record deal. Imagine a 90s MTV music video, but with oat milk lattes and neon lights. Every corner is dripping in detail, from vintage posters to iconic playlists. Whether you’re a die-hard fangirl, a casual music lover, or just here for the ‘gram, this place hits all the right notes.

Jurassic Magic
Jurassic Magic is every bit as enchanting as it sounds. One minute you’re in the heart of LA, the next you’re stepping through a hallway of mirrors into a lush, hidden garden. Whether you’re sipping on their signature coffee or (like me) cooling off with one of their refreshing teas, this spot is pure magic.

Supersweet Tattoos & Coffee
Sip on a latte and get inked in the same spot? Supersweet Tattoos & Coffee is the perfect mix of cute, cool, and a little edgy, serving up good coffee and seriously talented tattoo artists. Booking my next tattoo appointment here asap!

The Palm Coffee Bar
The Palm Coffee Bar is known for their creative coffee flavors, but it’s the decor that really steals the show. Think fun, fresh, and effortlessly chic. Pink and green never looked so good.

Three Sisters Coffee & Tea
Three Sisters has delicious drinks, sweet treats, and both cozy indoor vibes and breezy outdoor seating. It’s perfect for getting some work done—or, if you’re like me, spending hours yapping with the girls.
